This is your ultimate guide to registering for Tradian.

Tradian, the Maldives’ first National Single Window for trade, is now in active use with its Phase I services available to  all freight forwarders and shipping agents.

This is your ultimate guide to registering for Tradian. 

Tradian registration can involve 3 different processes. They are: 

  • Self Registration – The Managing Director can apply to register in the Tradian system as an Admin user of the company.

  • Delegation – The company can delegate Tradian registration to an individual other than the Managing Director via a Board Resolution.

  • Add User – The Admin User can add more users to the system under the company registration.

This guide will walk you through each process in a simple, step-by-step manner.

Self Registration

The Managing Director can apply to register in the Tradian system as an Admin user of the company. 

This service is intended for Freight Forwarders, Shipping Agents, Importers, and Exporters. 

Follow these instructions carefully to complete your registration on Tradian.

Steps for Self Registration

Step 1: Visit the Tradian Website

Step 2: Click on "Register"

  • On the homepage, click the "Register" button to initiate the registration process.

Step 3: Log in with eFaas Credentials 

  • You will be prompted to sign in using your eFaas credentials. 

  • If you do not have an eFaas account, click "Register for eFaas" and complete the eFaas registration first.

Step 4: Grant Permission for Maldives National Single Window

  • After logging in, grant the required permission by clicking "Allow Access".

Step 5: Complete the Party Registration Form

  • Fill in all mandatory fields, selecting appropriate options for "Party Indicator", "Party Type", "Category", and "User Group".

Step 6: Select Your Company Details

  • From the dropdown menu, choose your Company/Business Registration Number. 

  • Relevant fields will auto-fill accordingly.

Step 7: Choose Your Sector

  • Select the sector that best fits your business.

Step 8: Verify and Update Contact Information

  • Your contact information will pre-fill from your eFaas account. 

  • Update if necessary.

Step 9: ID Type, Communication Mode, and Language Preferences

  • Select your ID Type, Preferred Communication Mode, and Preferred Language.

Step 10: Enter Tax Identification Number (TIN) Details

  • Input your Tax Identification Number (TIN).

Step 11: Optional Fields and Captcha Verification

  • Fill in optional fields if applicable and complete the Captcha verification.

Step 12: Attach Required Documents

  • Upload necessary documents such as business registration papers and proof of identification.

Step 13: Submit Your Registration

  • Review your form to ensure the data is accurate

  • Click "Submit" to complete the process.

Delegation

The company can delegate Tradian registration to an individual other than the Managing  Director via a Board Resolution.

Steps for Delegation Registration

Step 1: Gather the Required Documents

The following attachments are required for Registration in the Tradian Portal.

For Shipping Agents:

  • Board Resolution (for Delegation)

  • Owner profile

  • Staff profile

  • ID Card/ Work Permit / Passport

  • Office Name Board & Opening Hours (Pictures)

  • Company profile from Business Portal

  • Business Activity List

  • Memorandum of Association

  • Articles of Association

  • Mention the following in the application email

    • Phone number of delegated staff (used for eFaas login)

    • Email of delegated staff (used for eFaas login)

For Freight Forwarders:

  • Board Resolution (for Delegation)

  • Company profile from Business Portal

  • ID Card / Work Permit / Passport

  • Business activity list

  • Memorandum of Association

  • Articles of Association

  • Mention the following in the application email

    • Phone number of delegated staff (used for eFaas login)

    • Email of delegated staff (used for eFaas login)

Requirement by MCS: Freight Forwarders must register with the Maldives Customs Service by submitting the MCS-155 form along with the required documents listed in the checklist.

Step 2: Email the Required Documents

Step 3: Receive Confirmation Email

  • Following the application, you will receive an email confirming the application.

  • If any documents are missing, out of date, or otherwise need your input, Tradian Support will contact you via email.

After Submission

  • Your registration request will be reviewed by the relevant authorities.

  • You will receive a confirmation notification at your eFaas-registered email address regarding the approval or rejection of your registration.

Adding a New User

The Admin User can add more users to the system under the company registration. This registration process is for Freight Forwarders and Shipping Agents.

Follow these instructions carefully to complete your user registration on Tradian.

Steps for User Registration

Step 1: Access the Tradian Website

Step 2: Sign in with eFaas

  • You will be prompted to sign in using your eFaas credentials. 

  • If you do not have an eFaas account, click "Register for eFaas" and complete the eFaas registration first.

Step 3: Navigate to "User Registration"

  • Once logged in, select "Registration" from the left-hand menu and then "User Registration".

Step 4: Add a New Record

  • Click "Add New Record" at the top right corner.

Step 5: Enter Personal Details

  • For local users, enter your ID card number in both the ID Number and Login ID fields.

  • For foreign users, enter your Passport Number in the ID Number field and your Work Permit Number in the Login ID field.

  • Complete all mandatory fields and click "Save".

Step 6: Enter User Party Details

  • Fill in the required fields under the "User Party Details" tab and click "Update".

Step 7: Assign Role Details

  • Under the "Role Details" tab, click "Add New Record".

  • Then select the appropriate User Role. 

  • Finally, click "Save".

Step 8: Review and Submit

  • On the "Summary" tab, review the entered details. 

  • Click "Submit". 

  • A success message will confirm the submission.
