Press Release: Introducing First-ever ‘Teacher Licence’ Service on oneGov

We are delighted to announce the launch of the ‘Teacher Licence’ service on oneGov, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. ‘Teacher Licence’ service is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering educators and elevating the standard of education across Maldives.
This service is available exclusively on the oneGov platform. We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Education for choosing us as the provider of this vital service on our platform. We are truly honored by their trust in us.
Educators can now conveniently apply for their licences through our platform to enhance their professional journey. As part of the application process, applicants are required to submit all accredited and attested academic qualifications with transcripts, a Police Report, Criminal Record, and Relevant Experience letters.
The service offers three distinct types of licenses.
Teaching Licence: This license is mandatory for teachers, tutors, leading teachers, head teachers, department heads, and supervisors practicing in schools, preschools, tuition centers, Quran classes, and other programs registered under the Ministry of Education.
School Leadership Licence: Designed for Deputy Principals, Assistant Principals, Vice Principals, Principals, and Heads of Schools, this licence allows professionals to practice in schools and preschools exclusively.
School Professions Licence: Tailored for school professionals such as health assistants, therapists, counselors, librarians, sports supervisors, and vocational instructors, enabling them to work in schools, preschools, and other programs registered under the Ministry of Education.
To obtain the aforementioned licences, a nominal fee of MVR 400 will be charged, ensuring a standardized process for all applicants. Additionally, a fee of MVR 200 will be charged for temporary teaching licences and provisional licences.
