Tradian Conducts Focused Demonstrations for Vessel Declaration Service
Rather than delivering a broad overview, the demonstrations were tailored to the specific responsibilities of each stakeholder group.
The Tradian team has concluded a series of focused demonstration sessions for the newly launched Vessel Declaration service.
The service officially launched for parallel submission on 10th May and is currently accessible through both the Tradian platform and the existing systems currently used by stakeholders. The parallel submission period will continue until 12th June.
To support the transition, Tradian conducted dedicated virtual sessions on 13th May for shipping agents and 14th May for Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), helping stakeholders become more familiar with the new service and its workflows.

Focused Sessions for Different User Groups
Rather than delivering a broad overview, the demonstrations were tailored to the specific responsibilities of each stakeholder group.
The sessions involved the Tradian team giving practical demonstrations of the service process to guide participants through the tasks most relevant to their roles.
Shipping agents were guided through the vessel declaration submission process, including how to provide security, health, and cargo-related information through the platform.
Meanwhile, the session conducted for MPL focused on operational and administrative workflows, giving participants a clearer understanding of how vessel information is reviewed and managed within port operations.
The approach allowed participants to focus on the features and processes they would use in their day-to-day responsibilities, making the sessions more practical and easier to follow.

Supporting the Transition to Digital Submissions
The demonstrations form part of Tradian’s wider efforts to support stakeholders during the ongoing parallel submission period.
By keeping both Tradian and the previously-used systems active during this phase, stakeholders are able to familiarise themselves with the platform, test real submission scenarios, and resolve any issues ahead of the mandatory transition.
From 11th June onwards, Tradian will become the primary platform for Vessel Declaration submissions.
A Key Maritime Service Now Available on Tradian
The Vessel Declaration service is a mandatory requirement for all foreign-going vessels entering or departing Maldivian waters. Through Tradian, stakeholders can now digitally submit essential vessel information in a more streamlined and centralised manner.
This includes security and health-related information, cargo manifests and vessel details, and information required for compliance with local and international maritime regulations.
The introduction of this service marks another important step in Tradian’s efforts to modernise and simplify trade and maritime processes in the Maldives by bringing key services into a single digital platform.
