Tradian Hosts First Experience Exchange Session with Private Sector Stakeholders
The aim of the session was to highlight experiences and issues that users and the government agencies face and to discuss ways to address these issues going forward.
The first Tradian Experience Exchange Session was successfully held on 12 February at the MINDCo Head Office.
This session brought together Shipping Agents and Freight Forwarders active in the local trade community, along with key government agencies that deal with international trade.
The aim of the session was to highlight experiences and issues that users and the government agencies face and to discuss ways to address these issues going forward.
The following is a brief overview of the session.

A Platform for Open Dialogue
The session was designed as a listening-first engagement forum, providing private sector stakeholders with the opportunity to openly share their experiences using Tradian during its first year of operation.
They also shared insights into ongoing operational concerns encountered in day-to-day trade processes.
With participation from the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation (MoTCA), Maldives Customs Service (MCS), and Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), the event created a valuable space for constructive discussion between industry and government partners.

Building Mutual Understanding
A key focus of the session was improving mutual understanding of Tradian workflows and the related procedures followed by participating agencies.
Discussions explored how Shipping Agents and Freight Forwarders interact with government processes, and where greater clarity, coordination, and system improvements can support smoother trade operations.
The session also highlighted the importance of continued engagement to ensure that Tradian evolves in line with user needs and operational realities.

Audience Participation
The event was marked by strong audience engagement throughout. Participants actively contributed to the discussion, raising insightful questions and sharing practical feedback based on real-world usage.
The open exchange of perspectives resulted in a number of meaningful conversations around current challenges, user expectations, and opportunities for enhancing collaboration across the trade ecosystem.
This high level of participation reflected the shared commitment of both the private sector and government agencies to improving efficiency and transparency in trade facilitation.

The Tradian Experience Exchange Session marks the first in a planned series of similar stakeholder engagement events.
This Experience Sharing Session demonstrated the value of open communication and shared learning in strengthening trade processes. With active participation and productive discussions, the session laid an important foundation for continued collaboration through future engagements.
Tradian remains committed to building a collaborative platform that listens to users, strengthens coordination, and supports the continuous improvement of digital trade services in the Maldives.
Further sessions will be held in the coming months, expanding opportunities for dialogue and partnership with the wider trade community.
